Terrace Gardens

If you're a BYU student and you've never been south of campus you're missing out.
Take a few minutes and venture on down to the Terrace Gardens (located next to the giant greenhouse).

Why?
Because it's a nice break from the usual and you can see all of the cool things they're doing with flowers, fruits and vegetables.
Also, they're going to tear them out in about 8 months from now.

I'm taking a floral design class this semester and I absolutely love it!

Here's this week's arrangement that went to...
...Karen (former employer) at the BYU Bookstore.

Retail: $50-$60
(Price matched on telafloral.com)

We are given certain flowers each week (according to what we are learning/studying in class) and can do whatever we like (any color scheme). The first week I did an autumn theme, last week I did pinks, greens and whites in a hand wrapped bouquet. They were both quite lovely. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures them :(

Getting Crafty

All of the sudden I've become obsessed with crafts. Not that I haven't been before, but it's taking over every waking moment of my life.
I had no idea how popular felting has become. Who knew, right? Well, once I have some free time (so probably after graduation) I'm going to start becoming super crafty. I'd love to make some of these... or all of them :)

I've also fallen in love with pretty much everything in Anthropologie's 'at home' decor section. But as we all know, it ain't cheap. So I've challenged myself to make my own vintage looking decor. I'm sure whatever I make will look just as good as theirs.
